I am a graduate student in the United States of America.

I like to talk, travel, and buy nice things occasionally. I'm also on a stipend, so I have limited funds. Optimizing the money I do spend to get as much value as possible is something I get a lot of joy out of! This blog is a space where I talk about how I try to do that, as well as random travel photos. There are so many things I don't know yet, and hopefully documenting things and getting feedback will help me learn.

About the photos: I am not a professional photographer, nor do I aspire to be one. I like to take photos (and sometimes videos) to capture moments in my life. Most of these photos have been taken on an iPhone or a point-and-shoot camera. They are also unedited, apart from perhaps the 'auto-enhance' feature on a few of the photos taken on the iPhone, because I'm lazy, and more importantly I don't want to contribute to the culture of enhancing every single thing we post online.
